Service Areas: Alberta
Jorden brings a unique combination of perspectives to her work: she’s been both a teacher and a psychologist. She has taught in classrooms across Canada and abroad, an experience that gave her a grounded, practical sense of how children actually learn day to day. She went on to complete her Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary and is currently a Registered Provisional Psychologist (#P7301) at the College of Alberta Psychologists.
One of Jorden’s greatest priorities is helping children feel relaxed and confident throughout the assessment process. She takes the time to build rapport, follows each child’s pace, and creates a space where they can simply be themselves. Many children leave their assessment surprised by how much they enjoyed the experience, and look forward to coming back.
Jorden is passionate about looking beyond scores to understand the whole child. While identifying areas of difficulty is an important part of the process, she’s equally committed to recognizing each child’s strengths, interests, and potential. Families leave with practical, individualized recommendations designed to build confidence and support learning at home, at school, and beyond.
Outside of work, Jorden enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and volunteering with local animal rescue organizations as a foster. In addition, she loves to travel, is currently learning Spanish, and is always looking for new ways to deepen her understanding of how people learn and grow, so she can keep bringing the best possible care to the families she works with.
